March 2023 Student-Athletes of the Month

CGA's Susie Bourdier and CMA's Sam Watson have been named the athletes of the month for March.
 
Bourdier '24, from New Iberia, Louisiana, competes in pole vault and also runs sprints for the Culver Girls Academy track and field team. On March 11, Bourdier cleared 10'6" in the pole vault, which set a new CGA indoor record. During her time at Culver, Susie has also been a Catholic prefect, a hall prefect, and an event coordinator. Academically, she is in AP English language and composition.
 
Watson '23, from Delaware, Ohio, plays forward for the Culver Military Academy's varsity A hockey team. Watson, who also serves as captain of the team, scored the game clinching goal in the ISHSHA 4A state championship game against Fort Wayne Carroll on March 4. During the state playoffs, Watson scored two goals and one assist, while also being one of six CMA hockey players to earn academic all-state. Sam is currently a battalion academic officer, and is completing the entrepreneurial studies programming, and will take on the corporate challenge this year.
 
Although the hockey season is over, the girls track and field season continues April 10 at Triton High School.
