CMA Track and Field earns third straight sectional title

Culver Military Academy track and field wrapped up their IHSAA sectional meet on Thursday night, scoring in 15 of 16 events for a total of 155 points. The meet featured 11 schools and was held at Plymouth High School.
 
The event was highlighted by several PRs:
 
Henry Martello '24 won both throwing events. He had marks of 45' 6" in shot put and 133' 10" in discus.
 
The biggest performance of the night came from Michael Patipe '24. Patipe won the 110-meter-high hurdles, 300 meter intermediate hurdles, long jump, and was on the winning 4x400 team.
 
Other notable performances came from Finnley Johnson '25, who finished second in the pole vault at 11 feet. Jaxson Warner '24 finished second in the 400-meter dash at 52.31. Will Ruszkowski '24 placed second in the 800-meter run at 2:03.56. John Afari-Jenkins finished second in the 200 meter dash at 23.56.

The boys will travel to Warsaw on Thursday, May 25 for the regional meet.
