Last night, CMA Track & Field captured its first IHSAA Sectional Title since 2002 while competing in post-season competition at Plymouth High School; it is the fifth Sectional Championship in the program's history. The performance earned the team the opportunity to compete at Kokomo High School on May 27
th in Regional competition.

Of the sixteen total events, CMA took first place in nine, while taking second-place in three others.

Senior
Jaxon Mull and junior
George Bourdier led much of scoring. Bourdier and Mull claimed first and second in the 100m dash, respectively, while Mull also took first in the 110m and 300m hurdles, and Bourdier topped the 200m dash and pole vault event. Both took part in the winning 4x100m relay team, alongside sophomores
Folabomi Fayemi and
Andrew Galas.

Fayemi also performed well in the field events, claiming a pair of second-place finishes in the high and long jump events. Â

In longer distance events, seniors
Jacob Graham and
Clayton Long, junior
Samuel Tullis, and sophomore
Hunter Miller each scored significant points in individual events and earned advancement. Long and Tullis took first and second, respectively, in the 1600m run, while Tullis took first in the 3200m run with Miller placing third. Graham took first-place in the 800m run.

The 4x800m relay team consisting of Miller, Graham, Tullis, and Long narrowly beat out Rochester's team by .04 seconds for first-place, adding to CMA's overall dominate night.
