Recent CMA graduate
George Bourdier became the first member of CMA Track and Field to claim a championship at the
Midwest Meet of Champions on June 11
th at Indiana Weslyan University. The meet consisted of the best high school track and field athletes from Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.

The Washington University of St. Louis signee recorded a pole vault effort of 15'9", tying his own school record and claiming 1
st overall.

Bourdier concluded his CMA career and the 2022 season with a third 3
rd place finish at the IHSAA State Finals, also vaulting 15'9" and setting the school record. He was the only member of the CMA team to advance to the finals.

CGA concluded its 2022 campaign with a total of nine of its team members advancing to the State Finals, covering seven individual events and two relays.

Senior
Madison Miller placed highest on the day, recording a discus throw of 131'10", good enough for 6
th place overall.

Rising senior
Lena Spiller participated in the high jump, long jump, 300 hurdles, and the 4x400 relay team. Her best mark of the day was in the high jump, placing 7
th with a successful attempt at 5'5".

Cecille Figueroa came in 20
th in the 200 dash, while senior
Maddy Rivera and rising junior
Quinn Bird placed 25
th and 15
th in the 400 dash, respectively.

Rising junior
Susie Bourdier took 16
th in the pole vault, while also taking part in the 4x100 relay team along with rising senior
Brighton Bird, rising junior
Alexa LaBella, and Figueroa. The team took 25
th place.

Grace Gibbs claimed 17
th in the 4x400 relay event.
