Noa Shafeek-Horton '25 and John Little '27 have been awarded September 2024's Student-Athletes of the Month.


NOA SHAFEEK-HORTON

"Noa is a fearless competitor who loves to win and will run through a brick wall to score a goal," coach Kristi Tomczyk said. "She brings consistent commitment and work ethic to everything she takes on."

-5 assists




Tomczyk said Shafeek-Horton is a leader on and off the field, both in words and actions.

"She treats everyone with kindness, respect, and understanding. Her confidence, love of people, and humility make her a wonderful leader and individual."

Shafeek-Horton is co-captain of the team, which was voted by her peers and currently holds a highly competitive leadership position for CGA as Aide to Administration and Alumni.



JOHN LITTLE

"John has demonstrated an excellent ability to link the defensive part of the team game and transition into the attack," coach Kevin Green said.

-Game-winning assist versus Hanover Central




Green said Little is a strong player, with skills to match, and combines well with their other attacking midfielder, Adrian Rodarte.

"In a season where we have struggled to score, having a strong defense has been key to the team remaining competitive in games."
