Culver Sailing has once again qualified for the Pacific Coast Interscholastic Sailing Association (PCISA) Girls National Invitational Regatta in San Diego, CA (Oct. 16-17). The Girls National Qualifier took place in Minneapolis, MI over September 25-26th..
After 19 races, the Culver girls were one point behind the first-place team going into the last race. Culver ended the regatta in second-place.Â
Sofi Dolan and Addi Pohl (pictured above) topped the competition in A fleet for fastest girls 420 in MISSA. The competition came down to the last race, and they responded by sailing a perfect race to clinch the first-place spot.
"Their start, boat speed, strategy, and tactics were flawless," said head coach Joe Hanko
Annie Samis and Parker Kumler earned a fifth-place finish in B fleet for the team effort, only two points from third-place.

"This was a tightly contested regatta for all our sailors," said Hanko. "I am very proud of the work they've put in to be able to perform like they did, and the opportunity they've earned themselves as a result is well deserved."
