Coach Fought joined Culver Academies in the Fall of 2010 as a member of the internship cohort, working in Wellness Education and as an Athletic Trainer. After completing his first year as an intern, he was hired into a full-time position and has continued his dual role in Wellness Education and Athletic Training.
During his tenure at Culver Academies, he has taught at all grade levels in wellness education and he has worked extensively with CMA Football, Cross Country, Swimming, Wrestling, CMA Basketball, and CMA Lacrosse. During the academic year of 2018-19, he began the transition to Head Athletic Trainer in the fall and was promoted to Senior Wellness Instructor mid-winter. His professional and post-graduate education has focused extensively on foot, ankle, and knee-related injuries, and hopes to continue his work from the ground up.
He completed his undergraduate degree at Purdue University, graduating with a degree in Athletic Training. Throughout his undergraduate career, he worked in a variety of clinical settings and completed several rotations with the Boilermaker's sports teams. In the winter of 2017, he completed his Master of Arts in Secondary Education from Ball State University.
Coach Fought grew up in Northeastern Indiana on a small dairy farm and visits family frequently. He currently lives in Plymouth, IN with his wife Emily, son Leo (3) and son Whitaker (1). He finds fun in just about all things and tries to not take life too seriously.
