Coach Plaisir joined the Culver Hockey staff in 2018 and is originally from Laval, Québec where he grew up playing in their elite structure until Midget. He then pursued his playing and academic career at St. Paul's School, NH, where he was a 3 year varsity player earning an All-ISL honor his senior year. After graduating in 2011 Coach Plaisir spent two years playing DIII hockey at Lake Forest College where he began a bachelors in biology. In 2013 he transferred to Concordia University in Montreal to finish his degree. He then began to coach as a skills developer and power skating instructor for various minor hockey organizations while coaching elite spring/summer teams in the 2007, 2008, and 2009 birth years. He spent a year at George-Vanier High School in 2013-2014 where he was in charge of the U-17 team. He also coached at Kuper Academy where he was an assistant on the Bantam team in 2016-2017 leading them to a 30-2-0 record, an RSEQ Central Division Playoff Championship and an RSEQ Provincial Championship.
In 2017-2018, he was in charge of the Kuper Pee-Wee team leading them to a 17-2-3 record, one tournament win, an appearance in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament Final, an appearance in the LIHQ Playoffs Final, and an appearance in the Provincial tournament semifinal. Along with his colleagues, he helped many Kuper students attend US boarding schools.
In his first year at Culver, Coach Plaisir was in charge of the Varsity B team that finished the season with a 17-12-1 record and made it the ISHSHA 2A State Tournament semifinal. He also assisted Coach Palmer and Chapdelaine on the Prep team and was involved with players throughout the program. Coach Plaisir recently completed a scouting mentorship with the Boston Bruins during the 2021-2022 season and is currently a member of the NHL Coaches Association BIPOC Coaches program.
Coach Plaisir teaches wellness education and Human Anatomy/Physiology and speaks four languages.
