Brian Rosenau arrived to the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee on August 10, 1996 as the first Athletic Training and Wellness Education intern at Culver Academies. In May of 1997 he joined the full-time Culver faculty.
Rosenau graduated from Hope College (Holland, MI) in May of 1996 with a double major in Athletic Training and Education (He completed his student teaching at Holland West Middle School). His undergraduate summers of 1993 and 1994 were spent learning from the University of Michigan Athletic Medicine staff as a student athletic trainer for the University of Michigan high school football and baseball camps. During the summer of 1995, Rosenau completed a 6-week internship with the Kansas City Chiefs pre-season training camp in River Falls, Wisconsin.
Rosenau spent the summer of 1999 on the campus of California University of Pennsylvania where he completed the coursework for a Master of Science in Athletic Training. In May of 2010, he defended his Master of Science thesis: Athletic Training Education and Dance Medicine: Contemporary and Ballet. In December of 2019, Rosenau completed a Master of Art in English and Creative Writing on the campus of Indiana University in South Bend. Rosenau utilizes the full range of his career-spanning professional development experiences to evolve his skills as a certified athletic trainer at Culver, and his skills as a classroom instructor at Culver. Rosenau teaches the 10th grade Wellness Education course, Foundations of Health: A Holistic Approach; he served as level chair of the course for several years.Rosenau is a licensed teacher in the state of Indiana, and a licensed athletic trainer in the states of Indiana and Michigan.
Rosenau worked as the athletic trainer for the Traverse City (Michigan) Beach Bums Professional Baseball Club (Frontier League) for seasons: 2006, 2007, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018. He continues to work as the athletic trainer for the Traverse City Pit Spitters summer collegiate baseball team (Northwoods League) for seasons: 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023.
Brian Rosenau is originally from Cadillac, Michigan. He is a Class of 1991 graduate of Cadillac High School – Home of the Vikings!
