Coach Stubblefield started playing polo in Culver Summer School. His mother learned that Prince Charles was taking lessons and thought her son should also learn the game. After years away from the game I came back for a reunion and played with fellow alumni. That was all it took to get the “bug” back and start playing arena polo in California. Played in the Pacific Coast Arena League; Los Angeles, California Polo Club, San Diego, Poway, Santa Barbara, and Central Coast. In 2013 Coach Stubblefield retired from the packaging industry to move to Culver and become an Equitation Instructor and Polo Coach.
Coach Stubblefield earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from California State University, Pomona, A member of the United States Polo Association, and a Certified Polo Instructor. Certificates also held; Red Cross First Aid, CDC Concussion Awareness, USOC Safe Sport Training.
