Andy Dorrel

Head Coach Andrew Dorrel is beginning his 21st season leading the Eagle football program. A native of Brookville, Indiana, Coach Dorrel earned a bachelors degree from Wabash College in 1994. On the football field he was a 3-year letter winner for the Little Giants and also served as team captain in '93 and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention in '92. In 2009, he earned his MBA, graduating with high honors, from Valparaiso University. Coach Dorrel joined the Culver faculty in 1997, teaching humanities.  He currently teaches AP Economics, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy courses as well as helped found the Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur. Prior to Culver, Coach Dorrel taught at Crown Point High School, where he was the assistant varsity football coach, as well as assistant wrestling and track coach. 

During Dorrel's tenure as the Eagles head coach, CMA has won the schools only Sectional Championship and has had numerous young men continue their athletic careers in prestigious colleges and universities across the nation. Additionally, numerous CMA football players have been awarded All-Area and All-State recognition. Several Eagles have also been selected to play in the prestigious North/South All Star football game. The Eagles’ accomplishments on the football field have also earned Coach Dorrel and the Eagle coaching staff the prestigious honor of being named the Indianapolis Colts Coach of the Week in 2005 and again in 2012 as well as regional coaching accolades.

Coach Dorrel resides in Culver with his wife Dr. Jennifer Dorrel and their sons Owen, Elliot and Henry
