2025-26 End of Year Recap and Awards

The 2025–2026 academic year has been marked by outstanding athletic achievements across our sports teams, with several notable accomplishments.

Additional Accomplishments

Wallace Blum and Kiersten Blacker were awarded the Andrew Stern Scholarship.

CGA wrestler Sasha Uher finished fourth at the sectional to advance to the regional.

Marshall Young placed fourth at the wrestling sectional to advance to Regionals.

Cole Meiser placed third at the wrestling regional to advance to Semi-state.

Girls Rowing Novice 8+ placed 1st at the Head of the Hooch, having an undefeated 41–0 season.

The CMA Freshman basketball team were crowned the CMA Tournament Champions and also had an undefeated 13–0 season.

CMA Prep Hockey earned Gamesheet Prep Cup Champions.

CGA Basketball's Regional Championship win marked a first in school history.

CMA Prep Hockey and CGA U16 Hockey were MidAm District Champions.

CMA Prep, CGA U16, and CMA Varsity A Hockey advanced to Nationals, with CMA Prep advancing to the quarterfinals.

CMA Prep Hockey finished their season ranked No. 2 in the country.

Culver Varsity J4+ were Midwest Scholastic Rowing Champions.

Five Culver rowing boats competed at scholastic nationals, where the Boys Junior 4+ finished third. 

The CGA and CMA golf teams placed third at sectionals to advance to the regional.

CGA and CMA Swim and Dive placed 2nd at sectionals to advance to State prelims.

Addison Cyrek became the CGA Lacrosse All-Time Leading scorer.

CMA Prep Lacrosse finished their season ranked No. 2 in the country, with a 17–1 record.

Will Miller earned medalist honors at the boys golf sectional with a 72.

Hammer Brekelmans tied for 3rd at Regionals with a 74, losing in a playoff that would have advanced him to State.

Laine Lyles set the CGA outdoor 100m dash school record, with a time of 12.53.

Ainsley Ritchie set the CMA outdoor 200m dash school record, with a time of 21.71.

Eli Richards became the first Culver student to win an Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) national championship in Western.



College Commitments

Additionally, we also recognized 28 student-athletes for their decision to continue their athletic career at the collegiate level, 13 in the fall and 15 in the spring.

Outstanding Sportswoman of the Year

The outstanding Sportswoman of the year award was presented by the CGA Class of 1972.  This award goes to the student of CGA that displays outstanding participation, spirit and enthusiasm in sports.

The Oliver Award

The Russ and Myra Oliver Best All-Around Athlete award is presented to the CMA first Classman who best represents the ideals of Russ and Myra Oliver.
