Culver Girls Academy (CGA) Hockey's Brittyn Lybecker, Class of 2027, has earned an invitation to the 2025 Under-18 Women's National Team Festival. This marks a historic first for the CGA Hockey program, as Lybecker becomes the inaugural CGA player selected for this elite national development opportunity.
The camp, hosted by USA Hockey, will take place August 3–9, 2025, in Lake Placid, New York. The event features approximately 46 of the top players in the country born in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
The camp is led by the coaching and player development staff of the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team and is structured to support both individual skill development and team performance through comprehensive on- and off-ice training. In addition, it serves as an evaluation-based camp to identify athletes for the U18 Select Series Team, which will remain in Lake Placid to compete against Canada the following week.
When reflecting on the impact of her CGA experience, Lybecker shared the following:
"Playing for Culver Girls Academy Hockey has given me the opportunity to truly develop as a player through consistent ice time with the team, access to open ice for individual work, and support from dedicated coaches. I am surrounded by high-level competition and play on a team that offers incredible exposure. More importantly, Culver has taught me to not be afraid to fail, pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow into a more confident, resilient athlete and person."
