Bunker Hill IN. Culver traveled to Maconaquah High School for their second game of the weekend. The Eagles take on the Braves on their senior night which featured a full pep band and a sizable student section. Culver comes looking for their 4
th straight win, which would be their longest since December.

This game started off high scoring as the sharpshooters of Maconaquah found their rhythm. Opening with a three, the Braves couldn't stop
Cooper Farrall inside as a post score on a high-low with
Fola Fayemi and a transition bucket off a steal from
Jokubas Skurdenis. Skurdenis got to the line and hit both shots to give Culver a three-point lead, but Maconaquah responded with another three to tie the game.
Amir Gates found Fayemi twice in the paint for back-to-back scores, but a score and two free-throws from Maconaquah tied the game. Farrall got another high-low score courtesy of Fayemi and Skurdenis got a layup off a steal to give another four-point lead. Skurdenis hit a three soon after to put Culver up seven. Maconaquah tried to respond with a three of their own, but
Thomas Collins got one of his own to negate the make from the Braves. A foul late in the clock allowed Maconaquah to hit a pair from the line to cut the lead to five at the end of the first, with a score of 20-15.

Culver's scoring continued with back-to-back scores from Gates. Maconaquah got one back, however Farrall scored another high-low with Fayemi and then hit a three on the next possession. Maconaquah answered with a three of their own, but Culver went right back to their bread and butter with a high-low score by Farrall. Collins then it a three on the next possession after a turnover by the Braves and the lead became 14. Gates got another bucket on the dribble drive to get to a 16-point lead. Maconaquah hit yet another three as they continued to hit from deep, but they couldn't stop the inside threat as Fayemi scored off a post feed from Gates. Maconaquah managed to get some points back with their 6
th three of the game to beat the buzzer as the two teams went in for halftime with Culver up, 38-26.

Gates continued to dish the rock in the third and picked up two more assists, one to Collins and one to Fayemi to start the quarter. Maconaquah got one of their two scores of the quarter early, but Gates responded soon after with a drive and score. Farrall scored on two straight steals as the defense dominated the third.
Colin Chupp got to the line and hit two free-throws to get the lead to 22. Fayemi then went on a burst of dominance with a steal and assist to
Andrew Macheca in transition, then two scores in the paint, one off a put-back and the other from an assist from Collins. Skurdenis got a put-back to cap off the 16 unanswered points in the quarter. Maconaquah managed to get a second basket of the quarter from inside to make the score at the end of the third, 58-30.

The Braves were able to get the offense back but still couldn't hold the Eagles on defense to make the most of their shooting. Maconaquah managed to score on three straight possessions, but Gates and Farrall got scores of their own to preserve the large lead. Fayemi got a pair of free-throws to cap off a season high 14 points for the forward. Macheca hit a big three off a dime from Gates to answer a three from Maconaquah, and Farrall got a two to answer Maconaquah's score in the lane. Gates found Farrall on that score to give him his 10
th assist on the night to cap off a double-double performance from the senior guard. It was all free throws the rest of the game for Culver, Farrall and Collins each got a trip to the line and each hit both shots. A three from Maconaquah ended the game with a score of 75-50.

th win in a row with that victory over the Braves. Culver enters their final week of the regular season with two games against Gary area schools. Culver faces off with Gary 21
st Century Charter in a matchup against 1A's number one team before ending the regular season on senior night Friday against Bowman Academy. In addition, the IHSAA sectional draw will occur on Sunday at 5:30pm to determine the path to the State Championship for the Eagles in March. Both games take place at 8:00pm.
