On Friday night at Henderson Ice Arena on the Al Clark Rink, Culver feel behind early going down 3-0 at the end of one period on goals by Lucas Veilleux (17:51) and a pair by Jax Wismer (16:30), (3:42).
Culver got on the board at 14:38 of the second period with a goal from
Miles Muth. St. Andrews responded on the very next shift (14:18) when Max Seguin made a strong net front play. Culver was able to cut the lead to 4-3 by the end of the second period with two power play goals by
Jaedon Kerr (5:56), (0:11).
St. Andrews pushed their lead back to two goals at 13:26 of the third period on a goal by Eli Sebastian. Culver was able to respond on the next shift with a goal at 12:47 by
Colin Kessler. At 6:04 of the third period with St. Andrews on the power play, Kessler tied the game at 5-5 with his second goal of the period and that is how it would remain until the end of regulation.
Prep Hockey Conference (PHC) games utilize a 3v3 sudden victory overtime format. After a desperation save by Daniel Salmivuori of St. Andrews, Lucas Veilleux scored the game winner at 7:01 of overtime, his second goal of the night.
